Ben’s Fund was created to support chosen charities and community projects through fundraising events and a percentage of sales from selected items, services, and workshops throughout the year.
Ben was our first rescue pup and our very much‑loved furry son. He was found on the streets of Bristol, never reported missing, and became our family for fourteen wonderful years. Ben adored life’s simple joys—long walks, cuddles, and blueberries—and his capacity for love knew no bounds.
Sadly, Ben was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive cancer, and we made the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep a week after his 18th birthday. The day he left us, we donated funds that had been raised while exploring treatment options for him. When the cancer proved too aggressive, our supporters were offered a refund or the option to redirect their donation. Many chose to support either Bristol Animal Rescue Centre or Cancer Research Wales, for whom I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon in 2026.
Following Ben’s passing on 1st July 2025, my life became very dark. While there were other contributing factors, losing Ben was one of my greatest fears realised, and I struggled to find my way forward. One morning, I realised I had to stop holding onto his loss as a place of safety and instead create something positive in his memory.

Ben’s Fund was born from that moment. Going forward, it will continue to channel generosity into meaningful causes, honouring Ben’s life through action, kindness, and community.
Ben’s Fund – in memory of my Benjamin Blueberry Button, the sweetest boy.
